Thanks to the kind generosity of people, schools and organisations we are able to offer our guests the chance to move on from their situation.
We rely on the generosity of donors to sustain this important work. If you would like to make a one off or regular donation towards our work, we would be so grateful for a gift of any amount. Online donations can be made via our Virgin Giving page. Or if you have a Stewardship account you can arrange one off or monthly gifts.
Here are the main examples of our expenses:
£5 can buy an empty new Oyster card
£10 can buy a monthly mobile top-up to keep a guest connected
£20 can buy a pair of safety shoes for a guest
£22 can buy a weekly bus pass for a guest who has multiple Job Centre, GP, and job interview appointments
£43 can buy a weekly travelcard for a guest who views properties to rent
£60-£100 can equip a new accommodation for a guest who moved on.
Cheques can be made out to ‘NEWway Project’ or
online bank transfers can be made to:
Bank name: The Cooperative Bank
Account Name: NEWway Project

Guest travel money is a large expense for us. This enables guests to attend viewings, attend medical appointments and attend Job Centre interviews. Every year, NEWway spends around £2,500 on guest travel. It would therefore be much appreciated if you could either donate an Oyster card topped up with minimum £12 or make a monetary donation so that we can top up guests Oysters.
CLOTHING AND BEDDING
We really appreciate donations of good quality second hand clothing (trousers, T-shirts, coats, shoes, belts, hats, scarves, gloves), towels, toiletries, new socks and underwear, bedding (to fit single beds), non-perishable food.
Frequently, guests also ask us if we have any rucksacks and sleeping bags that they can have. If you have any spare one, please give it a second life and donate it to us.
When guests move into a new accommodation, they usually do not have the basic items, such as kettles, plates, cutlery, cups, cooking pots and pans. If you have any to donate, please contact us.
