Foodbanks

Bonny Downs Church (BDCA)
The Well Community Centre,
49 Vicarage lane, E6 6DQ
(offers a limited takeaway only community lunch)
Wednesday 12-2pm and
Thursday 10-10am

Please book an appointment with a frontline care professional who knows about your situation.

For example: your doctor, social worker, a family support worker at your child’s school or your job centre case worker. These people will be able to assess your situation and issue you with an emergency food voucher which you can then bring along to any of the Trussell Trust foodbank centres in Newham to collect your free parcel of 3 days’ worth of food.

If people are able to get a e-voucher from community links, schools or other providers they should bring that. If they are unable to get a voucher, they are asked to bring proof of name and address on a recent formal letter, and evidence of any children in the family. This could be a red book, or school letter.

People are given 7 days worth of non-perishable food, and when available, cooked ready meals and fresh produce. The only criteria is that you are in a crises and have not attended another foodbank during that week.
